Hello Treasured You,
I hope this finds you doing wonderfully well as we roll into the new-ness of 2021.
I count it an honor to be partnering with you on your self-care journey and I have exciting news to share with you. Beginning with this letter I am instituting a new format that offers consistent helps, tips, advice, and care in hopes of encouraging you in your day to day wellness. In each monthly email, you will find
~Office Updates~    ~Fun Trivia~    ~Hydration Recipes~    ~Self Care~  &  ~Special Offers~
I hope you find it fun, beneficial and supportive. Let’s get started……
Office Happenings: You asked and I listened. There are now products for sale in the office that are designed to help with relief, relaxation, and support in your daily wellness. There is an array of CBD products, bath salts, muscle rubs, Tune Up therapy balls, lotion, and neck cradles. Everything has been chosen with attention to quality and detail while still being easy on finances.
January Calendar Trivia: Some days, it is easy to see the sun shine. Other days it can take a bit more effort. Just for fun, I thought I would share some calendar days that can bring a smile.
  • January 10: Peculiar People Day – Today is a day to honor anyone who is extraordinary, unusual, intriguing, and quirky. Give some recognition and appreciation to your quirky friends and family.
  • January 13: Make Your Dream Come True Day - On this day do something, no matter how small, to move in the direction of achieving your dreams.
  • January 21: National Hugging Day – Yeah! What a great thing to celebrate. Give your loved ones (in your bubble) a hug today. And while we are still in a pandemic, those hugs can be given with extra phone calls, video chats, special mails, and supportive text messages.
  • January 24: Compliment Day – Embrace compliment day and try to give 5 sincere compliments to people in your life today.
Hydration Recipes: Ideally, water makes up 50-65% of our body mass. But the colder wet months here in the NW can make it harder to stay hydrated. Here is a fun water recipe that can make hydrating more appealing.
Apple Water
Ingredients:
8 slices Granny Smith apple
5 slices fresh ginger
2 - 1-inch pieces lemongrass
Water
Instructions:
Combine water, Granny Smith apple, ginger, and lemongrass in a 32-fluid ounce Mason jar or pitcher. Stir gently, cover, and refrigerate until flavors combine, at least 1 hour.
Self Care: Here is a quick breathing exercise you can use anytime, anywhere to help you calm the nervous system, increase focus, and reduce stress:
  • Sit comfortably with your back straight.
  • Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4.
  • Hold for a count 4.
  • Exhale through your mouth for a count of 4, pushing out as much air as you can while contracting your abdominal muscles.
  • Continue to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth until you feel your body relax.
Special Offers: The following programs are always available for your convenience.
'Pay What You Can' - While I believe everyone can benefit from the value that massage therapy offers, not everyone has the financial means of receiving a session. Because of this, since the first day I opened my practice, I have offered a ‘Pay What You Can’ to those who are in need. It is based on the honor system in respecting the different financial seasons we can all be in. It offers 1-60 minute therapy session per month. If you find yourself in a season of needing massage but needing a financial break, let’s talk.
'Pay It Forward' – At times, folks feel led to help balance out the finances of someone else’s massage in the 'Pay What You Can' program. While it is not a tax deductible donation, the good Samaritan heart rewards are bountiful. If you feel that you would like to make a cash donation into this program please let me know.
Tipping - Thank you for your understanding these past few months as we have transitioned into not receiving tips. I appreciate your generosity in wanting to monetarily say thank you and value your respect to my request. I would not want tipping to ever be a source of awkwardness or emotional expectation for anyone. Rather, not tipping allows for other opportunities like you being able to save up your funds to come in more often. Alternatively, if you would like, your cash “tips” can instead be rolled into a Pay It Forward donation.
Gift Certificates and Pre Paids:  I have a beautiful new supply of gift certificates printed up for whenever you want to share with your loved ones. Also for your convenience, there is a button on my website for purchasing e-certificates and scheduling appointments when time is of essence.
And the pre-paid is always an option in saving money for established clients. Using this feature can save you up to 10% on appointments and does not have expiration date. Let me know if you would like to know more about either of these great options.
Thank you for taking the time to let me share with you today. I appreciate you and am so grateful for your trust in your wellness support. Myself and Healing Treasures Massage are here for you and because of you.
Peace and wellness to you

I have a deep passion for helping others.  Really that is the bottom line. Helping people be released from discomfort. Helping people be present in the life they are given. Helping people know that they are each valuable original treasures unlike no one else ever. To humbly be part of seeing a person hold onto whatever peace they need at that present time. Yes that is my passion.
