Why Self Care

Sometimes we can think of "Self Care" as being something of a dirty word as it conjures up ideas of being selfish and over indulgent, costing a ton of money, or pulling us from important responsibilities.
It doesn't have to be any of the above. And while sometimes Self Care can mean that grand cruise that you have dreamed of your whole life; it doesn't have to always look like the big grand thing that costs money for it to be effective.
It has to do with taking a few minutes out of each day to check in with yourself and reset.

Self Care can mean breathing and counting to 10 instead of exploding.
Self Care can mean choosing the salad instead of the cinnamon roll (or vice versa if you prefer)
Self Care can mean saying no to adding another task to your other spinning plates.
Self Care can mean going for a walk.
Self Care can mean sitting for 5 minutes outside.
Self Care can mean playing music that makes you smile.
Self Care can look different every day. The point is to take time for what you need. It is a few minutes to check in and invest in your personal self so that you can do the outward things in your day.

I have a deep passion for helping others.  Really that is the bottom line. Helping people be released from discomfort. Helping people be present in the life they are given. Helping people know that they are each valuable original treasures unlike no one else ever. To humbly be part of seeing a person hold onto whatever peace they need at that present time. Yes that is my passion.
